Cold Weather Alert: Prepare Your Home for Freezing Temperatures! 

With the recent chilly days and freezing temperatures expected on January 20th and 21st, we want to remind our Sharyland community to protect their homes and water systems from potential freeze damage. Sub-freezing temperatures can cause significant issues for water pipes and other property, so take the time to prepare now!

Here are a few tips to safeguard your water pipes:

• Cover exposed outdoor water lines with pipe insulation.
• Protect back-flow preventers and irrigation systems by covering them with pipe insulation.
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air circulate around your pipes.
• Keep one water tap dripping to prevent freezing in your pipes.
• In case of a water line break, turn off the water at your meter box immediately.
